The chairman of Benadir court Judge Muuse Moalim  read the case of the 9 people accused of corruption, whereby the office of the Somalia’s attorney general was persecuting the defendants.

However, the defense lawyers presented their defence in front of the judge.

Corruption is rampant among the Somali government institutions and its not clear if putting the suspects in front of court of justice could lessen the level of corruption int the country.
