Somalia Ministry of Health strengthens further medical team at Mogadishu airport to curb COVID-19

MOGADISHU (Somalitopnews.com) —Federal Government of Somalia has sent today emergency medical team with ambulances to Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport to assure preventaive measures of COVID-19 and curb the spread of the epidemic disease which is now great worldwide concern.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Health, medical team will be screen Somali nationals returning from 14 countries in which have been badly effected by the Coronavirus. The statement also said that citizens who arrive in Mogadishu will be quarantined within 15 days, and Somali citizens have been informed.

“Medical assistants and vehicles have been deployed by the Ministry of Health to Adan Ade InternationalAirport so that all citizens from the worst-hit countries in the list will be in quarantine in the country for 14 days starting upon arrival. “We will also ensure the check up of other citizens coming from countries and provide necessary medical advices ,” the statement of Somalia’s Health Ministry said.
